Photography Bloopers Round #2
Every SmartPak photo shoot is an adventure in itself. The animals (and sometimes models) are bound to misbehave and that always makes for some entertaining bloopers. Usually our models are riders or at least they are familiar with horses. But sometimes they find themselves in a bit over their head. A frosty morning and large snorting horse weren’t exactly what they envisioned! (Don’t worry – right out of the frame are the expert horse handlers, usually our own Renee and Melissa, standing by to avert disaster.)
In the first two images you can see Tanya’s comfort level with her horse partner revealed in her facial expressions. There was another horse galloping around in an adjacent field during this shot.

Now you see Morgan trying to wrangle a surprisingly strong pony who was determined to graze somewhere else. We did have to step in when he tried to take her down the road. Morgan was able to keep the pony under control long enough to eventually get a very nice picture.
In these last images Julia and Kendall fear for their hair as a very friendly Puff tries his nose at styling. He obsessed with their hair for quite some time. (Horse snot isn’t really that different from styling mousse…).
